My Background
I have over 20 years of experience and a genuine passion for supporting people through Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Metacognitive Therapy, in Sandbach and Crewe, Cheshire. My approach to wellbeing blends evidence based methods with a calm, client centred focus.
My clinical background includes working at the Priory Hospital in Altrincham, followed by several years at the Harplands Mental Health Hospital at the Royal Stoke Hospital. These roles allowed me to work with a wide range of presentations and deepen my understanding of complex mental health needs. Alongside this, I have worked in private practice since 2007.
I am fully insured and a registered member of the British Assosiation of Counselling and Psychotherapy BACP.
My Approach
As an Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist based in Nantwich Sandbach and Crewe, Cheshire, I offer a flexible and personalised approach to therapy. I see clients privately as well as through referrals, insurance companies and case managers, so whether you come to me directly or through another professional, the work remains centred on you.
I regularly support people living with depression, low mood, anxiety, complex trauma, phobias, PTSD, low self esteem and low confidence. These experiences can shape how you see yourself and the world around you, and therapy gives you the space to steady things and make sense of what feels tangled.
Whether you want open exploration or a more structured pathway, I can integrate Cognitive Behavioural Therapy or Metacognitive Therapy to meet your needs. Sessions are shaped around your personal goals, using a blend of therapeutic tools to help you gain clarity, strengthen resilience and move toward genuine and lasting change.
My Services
I work with individual clients who want a calm, confidential space to explore what is happening in their lives. Some people come with a clear focus, others arrive feeling unsure where to begin. Individual therapy gives room to understand your thoughts, feelings and patterns, and to gradually move toward a steadier and more grounded sense of self.
I also offer Couples Counselling from therapy centres in Crewe and Nantwich, supporting partners who wish to improve communication, resolve conflicts, or strengthen their emotional connection. Couples sessions provide a balanced and supportive space to explore patterns within your relationship, rebuild trust, and work together towards greater understanding and harmony.
In addition, Clinical Hypnotherapy sessions are available for clients looking for a more direct approach to their situation. Clinical hypnotherapy is a focused, goal oriented therapy that typically requires around four sessions to achieve noticeable results.
